I took a course at UVM that covered negotiations and negotiating. The teacher often said "Life is funny". What he meant by saying this was basically. You can never be certain what is going to happen in your life, but when you encounter interactions that could lead to potentially unfavorable outcomes, make the best of it, and don't burn your bridges. You never know when you may encounter them again, and who knows what could happen if the tables are turned?
Treat everyone with respect.
He was right, Life is funny.

Smack it up flip it, rub it down oh no. And sometimes life is funky and other times it is fucky. Any way you roll them bones, I am pickin up what you are puttin down
