Twelve Years ago today

was the very last time that I saw the Grateful Dead. I still have vivid memories of this event as if it were yesterday. Highlights.....
Missing the scheduled meeting times for my brother at the Roberto Clemente Statue, Riding over to the show and missing Rusted Root as the opener because we got stuck in traffic. Having to drive to the show, due to the fact that the day before Elk totaled his truck when some soccer mom in a min-van collided with him head on up in the Poconos near the speedway. Gibson getting chased by security after he hopped over the wall on the first base line. Doah, then watching him knock over a sign and politely work his way thru the crowd as men in yellow security shirts pursued him.
All those rain songs, and naturally the encore.....Gloria.
Waking up in the tent at 4:00AM with an inch of water inside the tent. Thankfully Gibson brought that air mattress, otherwise we would have gone hypothermic for certain.
